Matos Maneuver is a Manual Therapy Technique created by Nuno Matos in 1997 and registered in 2002.〔Comparasion of Trunk Flexion Range of Motion, in Standing Position After Applying Matos Manuever and the "Slump Test". Matos N, Rodrigues R I, Lopes A; Escola Superior de Saúde do Alcoitão. Alcoitão. Portugal〕 The maneuver is based on an adaptation of the long sitting with the application of a cranial handle, with the aim to lengthen the posterior muscular chain and focusing on neuro-meningeal structures simultaneously.〔 The Matos Maneuver was created in order to address the lack of efficient techniques for the simultaneous lengthening of all chains, neuromeningeal, posterior muscular chain and miomeningeal chain.〔(14th International WCPT Congress 2003 )〕 It allows to focus on the structures and fascial aponevrosis, since the insertion of the suboccipital muscles, more precisely, ''Smaller Posterior Rectus Muscle of Head'' is at the dura mater.〔〔 Thus, it is possible to achieve higher mobility than the other techniques, being extremely effective in any shrinkage of the 3 chains. The Matos Maneuver was presented in Estoril on the 1st International Congress of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists - Manual Therapy Special Interest Group (IFOMT - ECE) 2002〔(1st International Congress of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists – Manual Therapy Special Interest Group (IFOMT – ECE) 2002 )〕 and in Barcelona on the 14th International WCPT Congress 2003.〔 == Contraindications == Contraindications for this technique include:〔〔 * Osteoporosis * Vertebrobasilar syndrome * Cervical Spine Instability * Injuries of the upper cervical spine * Arnold-Chiari syndrome 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Matos Maneuver」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
